Summer Job Opportunity: Marketing Intern (16-Week Contract)
Location: Madina Institute –(Oakville)

About Madina Institute:

Madina Institute is a vibrant Islamic centre dedicated to spiritual education, community engagement, and service located in Oakville, Ontario. We’re seeking a dynamic and creative Marketing Intern to help us amplify our message and reach through engaging digital campaigns and community centered marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement creative marketing campaigns to promote Madina Institute programs, events, and services.
• Leverage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) to increase engagement and grow our online presence.
• Create compelling marketing content using our repository of photos, videos, and design templates (Canva or Adobe Suite preferred).
• Collaborate with the fundraising team to design and execute donor-focused campaigns aligned with fundraising goals.
• Assist in organizing and promoting events, seminars, and classes, including crafting event invites and follow-up content.
• Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements based on analytics and engagement metrics. Support general administrative or marketing-related tasks as assigned by the management team.

Qualifications:

• Youth within the age group of 15-30 years currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Marketing, Communications, Media, or related program.
• Strong understanding of social media trends and tools. Proficiency with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator).
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for community engagement and alignment with Madina Institute’s values.

Compensation:
This is a paid position. Salary or stipend details will be discussed during the interview based on experience.
